Maleny Manor - Great Gatsby Bridal Shoot
Below is a beautiful styled shoot I did last year for Sunshine Coast Brides Magazine.
The Great Gatsby was our brief for the day. We used the stunning Maleny Manor as our backdrop to create a gorgeous story full of glitz, glamour and style that the Gatsby era was known for.
The Bridal Makeup: Gatsby Old World Glam
For makeup, I did our model Eliza's makeup softly of the era but not so much so that it looked old and dated. If you're thinking of recreating beauty looks from a certain era's it's best to take elements of the era and keep the rest of the look modern. You'll see I kept a modern glow to the face and made Eliza's eyes smokey, but not so much so they were overpowering.
Eliza's hair was long and full and the fiery red is stunning. Her hair was finger waved, deep parted and pinned up to create the illusion of a bob with a stunning head piece for glamour.
The Judy Copley gown was adorned with rhinestones, gold and sparkles and looked amazing against our red velour couch by Lovebird Weddings. Beautiful flowers by Mondo in muted antique tones created a soft and pretty addition to the shoot.
I hope you enjoy the photos and be sure to watch the video at the end!
